29 Apr   For firefighters, police officers, and other public safety officials, that they would make our communities a safe place to live. 30. For Immanuel Lutheran Church, that God would give us an abundant harvest and souls for his kingdom.

1. For Immanuel Lutheran Church, that God would grant us unity and vision for our future.

2. For the fruits of the earth, that God would bless our nation with abundant food and water to meet the needs of all people.

3. For Pastors Bud Palmer and John Reinke, as they serve the deaf in the Greater Madison Area.

4. For persecuted Christians, that God would give them boldness to confess Jesus Christ as Lord in the face of persecution and death.

5. For the leaders of the state of Wisconsin, that God would grant them wisdom and godly counsel to govern us in peace, justice, and equity.

6. For the unemployed, that they would find meaningful and rewarding work and receive just compensation for their work.

7. For those who have endured the death of a loved one, that God would give them peace and hope in the resurrection at the return of Jesus Christ.

8. . For the Immanuel/Wil-Mar farmers' market, that our property would be a blessing to our neighborhood.

9. For Pastor Gui Kasongo, who serves as a missionary to French African immigrants in the South Wisconsin District.

10. For the homebound members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, that they would feel connected to the community of faith despite their absence.

11. . For wisdom to use our money and resources wisely, that we might reap a harvest for the Kingdom of God.

12. For those who are sick with various kinds of diseases and sickness, those recovering from surgery, and those who find life difficult, that God would heal them and/or give them patience to endure their affliction according to his will.

13. For doctors, nurses, and those who work to bring healing and wholeness, that they would acknowledge God in their vocations and bring restoration to all people.

14. For those who are addicted to alcohol or other drugs, that God would free them from their addictions so that they might worship him with thanksgiving.

15. For those who are near death, that God would keep them in the one true faith.

16. For those who do not believe in Jesus Christ, that they would hear the gospel, repent of their sins, and come to believe in Jesus Christ.

17. For our enemies, that God would empower us to respond to them in love and so turn them from enemies into friends.

18. For our children, that God would keep them safe and that they would develop into mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

19. For favorable weather, that God would send rain and sunlight upon the earth so that the fruits of the earth may nourish our bodies.

20. For those who are incarcerated, that they would repent of their sins and receive the forgiveness of God in Jesus Christ.

21. For thankfulness for the blessings we have received through Jesus Christ -- the Word of God, the Sacraments, and the forgiveness of our sins.

22. For our confirmation students, as they complete year one of their preparation for the Rite of Confirmation - that they would see the value of their learning.

23. For those who serve in the military, that the Lord would protect them from harm.

24. For teachers and schools, that the children of Madison might grow up to be productive members of society.

25. For social workers, that God would give them ready diligence in their work.

26. For those who work to rebuild our roads, that God would grant them safety as they work and patience to those driving in construction zones.

27. For a hunger and thirst for the Word of God, that we would learn it and learn to love it.

28. For all who are enjoying a holiday from their vocations. That their time of rest would energize them for service to their neighbor.

29. For the leadership of Immanuel Lutheran Church, that God would provide us with creative ways to reach out with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

30. For those who are sad and downtrodden, that God would lift up their heads so that they might praise him.

31. For the return of Jesus Christ, that he would come quickly and complete the work begun nearly 2,000 years ago.
